Hi everyone, I am totally new to the tablet world, but I'm not afraid of a challenge.I was given a "Hipstreet" HS-7DTB3-4GB, it won't boot. The previous owner said it did boot, but was stored for quite some time and the battery was completely dead when I received the tablet. I charged it up and turned it on, i get 3 screens...Hipstreet, then small white text that says ANDROID and then a third screen that as well says ANDROID but in a different font and waves of light pass over the text (appears to not be freezing that way) but that is all I get.I have had the tablet open, there appears to be no internal sc card, but there is an external slot. This tablet also has HDMI capabilities. Is it possible to reinstall the OS like we do aPC ? If so, how do I know the correct version to use, and....will someone walk me through it, maybe there is a tutorial ? I think my biggest worry is to get the correct software. Thanks TONS !

Do you have a capactive touch screen? (the spec i found says yes)What Android was it running before it quit ... Android 2.3.3 or Android 4.0.3
Thanks !!! I will look it over on the weekend. The tablet doesn't work now, so if it is rendered useless the upside is that it won't be haunting me any longer ! Thanks again for the help
OK, so I downloaded from the link, and extracted the files to my desktop. Inside the extracted files are 2 more zipped files, do I unzip these as well ?
I have the same tablet, a Hip Street Vektor. Hope the roms work for you.
