Android 4.0 firmware for M010F
« on: July 10, 2012, 01:20:59 AM »
Eken released M010F firmware at 2012/6/19, this may contain Android 4.0 image according to its Manual.

http://www.eken.com/support/

This may be the first 4.0 firmware for InfoTMIC x210.

I tried to install this image to my M009F (hardware almost the same M010F), the install was OK,
but the tablet freezes after displaying "ANDROID" logo....

If someone has M010F, please try it.

Are you sure that's 4.0? it just says M010f 24 pin Juan when I go to the site. I really do hope that they come out with 4.0 for our m009f's. 2.3.3 is okay and all I just feel like it laggs wayy too much!

Hi! I found another Android 4.0 firmware for InfoTMIC x210.

http://aitendo3.sakura.ne.jp/aitendo_data/product_img/microcontroller/android-board/Android.rar

This firmware is for Android development board which selling by Aitendo.

http://www.aitendo.com/product/4494     (In Japanese)

So. this firmware can't run on M009F/M010F, but it may help to make a CFW of Android 4.0.

Cheers!

My download was corrupt but I've a feeling its a 2.3.3 based on what you and others here have done. Does indicate someone has a way into the 009f/010f system.img though.

Just looking at this now, it appears to be a variation/modification of the 2.3.3 firmware (infotmic23_5v_24p date 22 December) we've had for a while. The interesting bit is that *the* file I want into and can't get into is what appears to have modified.

system.img in the Eken one is 108.8MiB while the system.img in the December release is 108.6MiB. Probably just from using Lee's buld.prop. The Eken firmware also has file modified dates of 9 January which is a bit early for ICS.

I'll just add that this will be for tablets with NAND flash and not the later M010F (v1.4 iirc) that use SDCards as the internal drive.

latest version I've come accross is this one:

m010f 24pin juan 2012/06/19 DL: ftp://202.105.131.8/Flash_24pin_Juan.zip

it's really small, but the IMG again seems obfuscated...

The system.img in the Eken download is that horrible YAFFS2 that isn't YAFFS2.  :(

In m010f clones it's EXT3. Stored in internal SD. Not NAND. I'm going to dissasemble one 7026 that has overheating troubles tonight. I'll search test points into it and try to extract system from NAND

Edit: Me & myself :) 7206 has SD :)

It's a 2.3.3. It doesn' boot in my 010f clones (it doesn't find system partitions) so kernel panic at second 5 :)

Re: Android 4.0 firmware for M010F

In m010f clones it's EXT3. Stored in internal SD. Not NAND. I'm going to dissasemble one 7026 that has overheating troubles tonight. I'll search test points into it and try to extract system from NAND

Edit: Me & myself :) 7206 has SD :)

Just to confuse things some of the later M010F versions do have an SDCard (and a different hwver).  :) Earlier ones are still NAND and I'm not sure when the change was made.

Yes, it's like a nightmare...
m010f hwver 0.6.3.5 has SD. Ekens m010f have NAND
