Problem reading media files on Universal Uberoid V11 beta 3

Hi All,

First of all, I would like to say thanks to you all, this is a great forum and with the Universal Uberoid V11 my tablet is a completely “new” and noticeable better tablet 

Now the problem:

After installing this last version, everything is working perfectly with the exception for the music player.

First time I’ve tried, the player read the files but not the tag info, I got “unknown” for all the tag fields.

Trying to solve this, I’ve installed again the uberoid and copy again the mp3 files to the sd card but now the mp3 files don’t even appear in the player…

Could anyone please give me a help?

I would suspect the SD card, did you reformat it after you got Uberoid working?

One of the problems is already solved, after formatting the card, the song list appears.

The other problem is still not solved, I still don't have the tag info of the music files read, everything is "unknown"...

Any input for this?

Hello,

I have the same prob. The mp3-tags are empty (cannot be read ?) for the ARTIST-tag only.
I even installed WinAmp and the same result.
The mp3 on the SD (4GB) files are OK on my W7-PC.
Is this a question of the codec?

try an app that will locate the media info for you ??? have you searched for this???

somthing like "plex media" app

maybe i did not make it clear...
The MP3 files are ok, if I plug the sd-card in my PC.
But when I put in the tablet, the file are fine too, except the artist tag is unknown
for all files...
Tried on these apps "Meridian", "Music" (both come with  Uberoid) and WinAmp.

Plex is a media streaming app (?) and I dont stream from some server.
